About Chef Dazore
Hello!!!
I’ve been in business for over six years now, and I’m truly blessed to say I love my work. I’m a left-handed Libra with two Chihuahuas, a deep love for trash TV, brunch, and a good playlist. It makes me feel super old, but I’ve been teaching all ages for over 12 years (**whew).
Originally from Southern California and now based in Carrollton, Texas, I’ve lived in a few places in between, but Texas has been home for the last eight years. Over the past decade, I’ve taught people of all ages how to feel confident in the kitchen, including students with special needs and neurodivergent learners. I believe that anyone can learn to cook with the right support, the right tools, and a little fun. That’s how we grow. Through experimenting, making mistakes, and discovering you learn what truly brings food to life.
As a Chef and NASM Certified Nutrition Coach, I focus on helping people build real confidence in the kitchen. I love showing people how to get the most out of what they already have in their kitchen, whether that’s turning pantry staples into something flavorful or finding unexpected ways to use everyday ingredients. Whether it’s a new twist on comfort food or feeling inspired by different cultures, I love helping people discover the joy of cooking from scratch. Once you understand how food comes together, you don’t need to rely on a recipe anymore.
Cooking in the Details isn’t just a cooking class; it’s a space for community, connection, and real culinary education. In a world full of flashy, trendy workshops, I believe in practical kitchen skills, spending quality time together, and having fun. All of my classes are hands-on, from-scratch, and rooted in real-life cooking, the kind of skills that help you save money, eat better, and reduce waste.
This is a Black woman-owned, small business, and I’m proud to say I built it from the ground up. Someone once thought Cooking in the Details was a franchise! It was the best compliment I’ve ever received. But no, it’s just me (and sometimes my dogs) running the show.
Other places may offer cooking classes, but here?
You come here to learn how to cook.
